Drone employed in anti-drug campaign in Beijing (3)

The two-meter long HW-220 drone has a maximum flight endurance of six hours, and can fly at around 3,000 meters. The surveillance camera installed on its belly is able to scan the ground-surface conditions of a large area.

Since the beginning of 2014, the Beijing police have employed multiple technologies such as satellite remote sensing and drones to monitor over 3,000 square kilometers of mountainous area in northern Beijing. So far no illegal drug plants have been discovered.
