The Silk Road "Routes Network of Chang'an-Tianshan Corridor" has already become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is currently one of the seven world heritage sites in Shaanxi Province.

Situated inside Cien Temple in the Chang'an City of the Tang Dynasty, the pagoda was built in 652 AD for Buddhist monk Xuanzang to store the Buddhist scriptures, statues, and relics he had brought back from India.

The pagoda is a brick structure built to imitate the look of a wooden one. The structure has a square shape when viewed from the top, consisting of a base, a body, and a temple. It is 64.517 meters high. Among the relics of significance exhibited at the pagoda are carved stone pieces to depict the feet of the Buddha and the footprints left by Buddhist monk Xuanzang as he went west on a pilgrimage for Buddhist scriptures.
