Three unique things of Ansai - Ansai Waist Drum

Ansai Waist Drum, paper-cut, and the farmer drawing are known as three unique things of Ansai, which makes Ansai a cultural county in China. In 2006, Ansai Waist Drum was approved by the State Council to be included in the first national nonmaterial cultural heritage list.

Ansai Waist Drum is a very unique large-scale dance artistic form, with a history of more than 2,000 years. The performance can be participated in by several persons or thousands of people. People revel in the majestic momentum and exquisite expressive force, so Ansai Waist Drum is named as “the first drum of the world”.
