    INDIA-MAHARASHTRA-AURANGABAD-POOR MAN’S TAJ

Tourists take photos of the Bibi-qa-Maqbara in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India, Aug. 6, 2014. Built in 1679 as a mausoleum for Aurangzeb's wife, Rabia-ud-Daurani, the Bibi-qa-Maqbara is known as the "Poor man's Taj". This is a ironic comparison considering it was Aurangzeb's father Shajahan who built the original Taj Mahal shortly before being overthrown and imprisoned by his son on account of his extravagance.
