A group of photos featuring a railroad path surrounded by dense foliage in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu province, went viral online on June 18, 2014, china.com.cn reports.

Netizens praised the photos and said the railroad had the most natural beauty of any in Nanjing. Others online described the railroad as "pure" and "fresh."

The photographer said the railroad, with a standard track-gauge of 1,435 mm, is an enterprise railway that is still in operation.
