In pictures: packhorse team in China's Qinghai

Three packhorses are tethered at the Gangshika base camp after bringing travellers' supplies in Menyuan County, northwest China's Qinghai Province, May 23, 2014. In recent years, Gangshika, the main peak of the Qilian Mountains, has become a destination for a growing number of travellers. In the nearby village of Shangdiaogou, villagers are grasping a business opportunity by providing the mountain travellers with packhorse services. In each journey, the packhorse team will carry travellers's supplies to a base camp at over 4000 meters in elevation, and bring back redundant supplies as well as garbages. (Xinhua/Guo Qiuda)
