Boeing 747 was developed in the 1960s following the initiative of the U.S. Air Force. It is world's first-ever wide-body civil aircraft, which features passenger and cargo versions. Boeing 747's cockpit sits on the 'hump' section, as the nose, which is the cargo bay's door, will be open to facilitate roll in and out cargo.
