China's Guangdong braces for Typhoon Bualoi
(Xinhua) 08:48, September 28, 2025
GUANGZHOU, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- South China's Guangdong Province initiated a Level-IV emergency response, the lowest in China's four-tier warning system, Saturday as Bualoi, the 20th typhoon of this year, rapidly approaches.
The typhoon is forecast to significantly affect coastal areas of western Guangdong, with strong winds and heavy rainfall anticipated from Saturday night to Sunday, local meteorological authorities said.
In preparation, Xuwen County under Zhanjiang City issued a yellow typhoon warning and suspended classes for kindergartens, primary, and secondary schools.
The typhoon's influence is projected to weaken noticeably by Monday, leading to reduced wind and rainfall.
