Int'l symposium in Beijing highlights development of new quality productive forces
BEIJING, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- An international symposium on new quality productive forces in the process of modernization was held in Beijing on Friday.
The event was attended by over 200 people, including diplomatic envoys, government officials, experts, scholars, and representatives of enterprises from 37 countries and regions, including China, the UK, the Republic of Korea and Turkiye, as well as international organizations.
Attendees exchanged views on theoretical exploration, policy implementation and international experience related to the subject of new quality productive forces. They also proposed to develop new quality productive forces through joint efforts, and to foster new drivers of economic growth.
The development of new quality productive forces is an intrinsic requirement and an important focus in the promotion of high-quality development, laying a strong material and technological basis for Chinese modernization, participants noted.
They also noted that China has proposed and actively implemented its new development philosophy, accelerating the cultivation and development of new quality productive forces.
Such efforts not only help China achieve its own modernization and high-quality development, but also provide new opportunities and platforms to advance global economic recovery, boost the well-being of people and achieve common prosperity, they said.
