Indonesia set to expand its presence at 22nd China-ASEAN Expo

JAKARTA, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia is set to return with a more comprehensive concept at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo, scheduled for Sept. 17 to 21, 2025, in Nanning, China, featuring pavilions on commodities, national, and artificial intelligence, the country's Ministry of Trade said in a statement on Tuesday.

"Indonesia's participation in China-ASEAN Expo 2025 is a strategic step to showcase national potential, boost exports, and attract investment from regional trading partners," said Fajarini Puntodewi, the ministry's director general of national export development.

She expressed confidence that this year's participation will surpass previous achievements and create more concrete opportunities for Indonesian businesses.

A total of 84 Indonesian companies will participate, showcasing a diverse range of flagship products, from coffee, spices, and seafood to coconut derivatives, edible bird's nests, fashion, and accessories.

Miftah Farid, head of the Indonesian delegation, noted that this year's main focus is to give exporters maximum exposure while highlighting artificial intelligence as a new driver of Indonesia's economy.
