Shenzhen's hub of youth innovation and entrepreneurship drives high-quality development

The Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub (Ehub), located in Qianhai, Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, has become a major driver of high-quality development in China and around the world since its establishment in 2014.

Home to a good number of high-tech and smart innovation companies, the hub mainly focuses on strategic sectors including artificial intelligence, embodied intelligence, life and health technologies, cultural and sports innovations, and fintech.

Supporting those emerging industries globally, many companies such as Spaceship, Bytelumio, GEE.D, Deep Harbour, i2Cool, Dynamo Semiconductor, Lumen Labs, Remo, and RiVAI have set up their headquarters at the hub, serving as a bridge to push forward China's high-tech development and contribute to global innovations.

Speaking to visiting Chinese and international journalists from People's Daily Online, Martin Zhu, CEO and Co-founder of a pioneering company in electricity-free cooling technology i2Cool Ltd., said that the company has been focusing on innovation and producing technologies that support high-quality development.

Zhu said that the company mainly focuses on providing innovative and sustainable cooling solutions for green buildings, industrial applications, and daily protection across 30 countries and regions.

He explained that the company continues to innovate and develop advanced technologies for energy saving to support low-carbon cities and green communities around the world.

For instance, documents provided by the company show that it produces an i2Coating architectural product, which can be used for temperature cooling and energy saving in residential homes, shopping malls, factories, warehouses, data centers, and public buildings.

Such successes are commonplace at the Ehub, marking a significant step in its contribution to global high-quality development.

The Ehub, part of China's broader strategy for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao development integration, supports youth startups through capital investment, policy support, university partnerships, global market access, legal professional services, operations and management, and talent settlements and development. It also occupies a space of 100,000m2 and is packed with offices and research and development centers of several well-known technology companies.
