China launches its cybersecurity week with focus on people

KUNMING, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- The opening ceremony of this year's China Cybersecurity Week was held on Monday in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, launching a week of related activities nationwide from Sept. 15 to 21.

A cybersecurity technology summit forum, a cybersecurity expo, cybersecurity awareness promotion activities on campus, talent recruitment and other themed events will be held during this period, according to the organizers.

The weeklong event is being jointly hosted by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, the Ministry of Education and other departments.
