China remains Singapore's top source of visitors in August

SINGAPORE, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- More than 398,000 visitor arrivals from China were recorded in Singapore in August, making it the city-state's top source market, the Singapore Tourism Board said on Monday.
Singapore recorded a total of 1.6 million international visitor arrivals last month, up 4.5 percent from the same month in 2024.
For the first eight months of 2025, China continued to lead as Singapore's main source market with 2.3 million arrivals, followed by Indonesia and India.
Overall, international arrivals from January to August reached 11.6 million, a 2.7 percent increase from the same period last year.
