China's top legislator meets attendees at legislators forum in Beijing

BEIJING, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislator Zhao Leji met with representatives attending the 2025 Legislators Forum for Friendly Exchanges in Beijing on Wednesday.
Zhao, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, emphasized that legislative bodies have a responsibility to make positive contributions to promoting fair and reasonable global governance and to building a community with a shared future for humanity.
The NPC of China is willing to work with parliaments of all countries to deepen exchanges and interactions, enhance multilateral coordination and cooperation, and jointly implement the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative, Zhao said.
The representatives stated that in the face of the current complex international situation and global challenges, legislative bodies from all countries should enhance unity, deepen exchanges and cooperation in legislation and other fields, jointly safeguard international law, world peace and stability, and promote sustainable development.
