Int'l Tea Day: Xi Jinping's bond with tea

Tea, which originated in China, is popular around the world. From the ancient Silk Road, the ancient Tea Horse Road and the ancient tea boat road, to the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, tea, transcending time and space, is beloved by people globally.

May 21 marks International Tea Day. "Good principles keep abreast of the times." Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, has used tea as a way to explain China's philosophies, bringing "Chinese tea aroma" to the world.
