Shang Dynasty's owl-shaped bronze wine vessels shine again

    (People's Daily App) 16:23, May 19, 2025

Dating back in the Shang Dynasty (1600BC–1046BC), the Fu Hao owl-shaped vessel (zun) artifacts are currently the oldest bird-shaped bronze ritual vessels ever discovered in China. A pair of these artifacts are housed separately in the National Museum of China and the Henan Museum. On May 19, these national treasures will be displayed together at the Grand Canal Museum—marking their first joint public appearance since their excavation in Henan Province in 1976.
