Two newspapers, one memory: Victory Days in print

By Zhang Wenjie, Kou Jie, Yuan Meng, Song Jingsi, Kuang Xixi (People's Daily Online) 13:32, May 10, 2025

As celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory in the Great Patriotic War approach, a 1951 edition of China's People's Daily and a 1945 edition of Russia's Izvestia are brought together in the hands of journalists.

Each newspaper records the historic moment when China and Russia officially designated their respective Victory Days.
