Senior CPC official meets Cape Verdean PM

BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Li Xi on Tuesday met with Cape Verdean Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva, who is here for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Li, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, said China is willing to work with Cape Verde to implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, and achieve more outcomes in the China-Cape Verde friendship.
Li expressed the willingness to continue strengthening international anti-corruption cooperation with Cape Verde within the FOCAC framework.
Silva expressed the hope that this summit will serve as an opportunity to advance bilateral friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.
