Relive moments: Xi's two visits to Uzbekistan

President Xi Jinping visited Uzbekistan in 2013 and 2016. In 2016 China-Uzbekistan relations were upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Since then China has been Uzbekistan's largest trading partner and largest destination for exports.

Under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, China and Uzbekistan have ushered in a new chapter in bilateral cooperation as the two sides have carried out close cooperation in economics, trade, investment, energy, transportation, agriculture and people-to-people exchanges.
