BEIJING, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday warned of an acceleration of the global extinction of species, saying the loss of biodiversity and the degradation of the ecosystem pose a major risk to human survival and development.
Xi made the remarks at the United Nations Summit on Biodiversity.
