MACAO, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said Macao compatriots firmly shoulder their responsibilities as he summed up Macao's important experience in successfully practicing "one country, two systems."

Xi made the remarks Friday while addressing a gathering in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland.

Macao compatriots are capable of shouldering the mission of the times to govern, build and develop the Macao Special Administrative Region well, Xi said.
