From September 6 to 7, the first Mengban Rice Culture Festival was held in Mengban Township, Jinggu Dai and Yi Autonomous County, Pu'er City.

In the festival, tourists feasted their eyes on the rural farm harvesting courtyard full of rice fragrant, which is decorated with straw, earhead, melons and fruits, dance in white elephants, peacocks, red deer style, elephant foot drum dance, expert of rice transplanting race and the drum competition among theyouth of Dai nationality. The tourists were pleased to say "I will come again with more friends."

With over 10,000-mu rice planting area every year, Mengban, honored as the hometown of fish and rice, is one of the largest lands of grain planting in Yunnan Province.
