BEIJING, Sept. 12 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy Gu Shengzu will attend the funeral of former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe on Sept. 14, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying announced Thursday.
Gu, also vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, will travel to Zimbabwean capital Harare at the invitation of the Zimbabwean government, according to Hua.
