Workers and personnel from various cadres of government offices in Simao District and Simao Town in Pu’er City took part in a “River Cleaning Drive” on June 2. They brought their own tools to clean the main channel of Simao River and its eight tributaries, including Xima River, Shilong River, Shiping River, and Airport Zuohe River. Working in different zones of the river area, they salvaged the river from floating debris, dredged the riverway, and removed garbage from the river banks and green belts. The personnel gave the entire area a clean new look.
