Xu Hongbin, director of Pu'er Municipal Bureau of Industry and Informatization, called Yang Hongping, deputy governor of Lancang County Government, at Lancang Jingmai Airport by using 5G network at 13:09 on May 31. This was Pu'er’s first phone call using 5G network. This reflects the city’s great progress in utilizing 5G technology.
During the Two Sessions in February this year, Pu'er Mobile opened its first local 5G experimental base station, laying the foundation for the commercial use of 5G network.
