The Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (XIOPM) has been listed among the second group of national mass innovation & entrepreneurship demonstration bases. On July 21, XIOPM Mass Innovation & Entrepreneurship Seminar and Mass Innovation & Entrepreneurship Demonstration Base Inauguration Ceremony were held.

XIOPM has built several professional mass innovation & entrepreneurship platforms including professional optoelectronic integration maker space-Shaanxi Institute of Optoelectronic Integrated Circuit LED Technology, CAS Star & Vanke Cloud Maker Community and Beijing CAS Star, and introduced 15 talents in the Recruitment Program of Global Experts, 37 talents in the Hundred Talents Program, as well as nearly 60 overseas innovation & entrepreneurship teams.

XIOPM is in Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone (XDZ).
