China has again warned India to withdraw troops from its territory on Monday.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry issued a statement following reports that India is preparing for a protracted stand-off in China's Doklam district, while also seeking what it called a diplomatic solution.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang reiterated the demand, asking India to withdraw its troops immediately.

It is the precondition of any possible contact and dialogue, he said, adding China hopes the Indian side could take concrete steps to resolve the issue.

India, however, is violating the fundamental principle of international relations as well as the international order, that is damaging to peace and stability in border areas, Geng Shuang maintained.
