
BEIJING, May 5 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang will pay a state visit to China from May 11 to 15 and attend the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said Friday morning.
Chinese leaders will hold talks and meet with Quang during his visit, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said at a daily press briefing Friday afternoon.
According to Geng, both sides will exchange views on consolidating good neighborly and friendly ties and deepening pragmatic cooperation.
China-Vietnam ties have good growth momentum with frequent high-level exchanges, more economic and trade cooperation, as well as increasing cultural exchanges, Geng said.
China is willing to make joint efforts with Vietnam to push forward the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation, he added.
