'Beef broth' found at archaeological site

    (People's Daily Online)    16:45, December 15, 2016

Several bone-filled cauldrons were recently unearthed during the excavation of an ancient tomb in Henan province. Experts have made a preliminary evaluation that the bones visible in the cauldrons came from the front limb of a cow. The two artifacts are a complete set, with the "jian" outside and the "fou" inside. In ancient Chinese culture, the jian was used to hold water while the fou was used for wine.
