Meet the young G20 flower presenters

World leaders arriving in Hangzhou ahead of the G20 summit were greeted with flowers and warm smiles by primary school students at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. The polite behavior of these students impressed many people, both in China and abroad. The students were all in Grade 6 at Hangzhou Qinglan Primary School.

The report stated that U.S. President Barack Obama appeared to respond to the gift with the Chinese phrase "Xiexie," or "thank you," after stepping down from his plane, the Air Force One, on the morning of Sept. 3.

The student presenters all wore matching uniforms. The boys donned white shirts, white trousers, blue vests and blue bow ties, while the girls were dressed in white skirts, blue jackets and sashes around their waists.

In order to earn the honor of greeting foreign leaders at the airport, students were trained in foreign languages and etiquette, the report said.
