    Xiangyang's Old Street "Guanjia Alley"

    Situated in the north of downtown Xiangyang, Guanjia Alley is 200 meters long and 5 meters wide.

    In ancient times the alley was once a place where some of the city's richest families lived. Most of the families scattered along the alley each had a three-principal room, three-row-room layout while a few of them that were less wealthy than the rest had a two-principal room, two- or three-row-room layout. Every family's property had an inner courtyard and a small garden.

    Nowadays, the ancient walls are mottled with stains, and a facelift has been given to some of the old houses there. But the alley is still full of charm and makes all sorts of feelings well up in people's mind...
