Father Marries His 16-Month-Old Daughter after She Is Given Only Two Days to Live

A heartbroken father married his 16-month-old baby daughter Poppy-Mai in a dreamlike wedding in Thetford, Norfolk, Britain, after she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was given only two days to live.

The father once promised the baby girl that she would have the wedding of her dreams. But the tumor offered a heart-wrenching twist, as the size and position of the tumor above her right eye meant it was inoperable. The mother asked how much time her daughter had left and was told it was two days without treatment, and treatment would prolong her life by a few weeks at most. Considering the painful side effects that come along with chemotherapy, the parents decided they would bring Poppy-Mai home for the last two days.

The heart-broken parents immediately arranged a dream wedding for Poppy-Mai. In the witness of her two elder brothers and mother, the girl, dressed in baby wedding gown, was kissed by her father in the forehead. She fell asleep after the wedding in her father’s arms.

“She looked so beautiful. But nobody could say the vows that had been written because everyone was crying too much,” said the father. The family are now cherishing every minute they have left to be with little Poppy-Mai.
