Chinese gaming firm Beijing Kunlun Tech has bought 60% stake of Grindr, the world's largest gay dating app, for $93 million, a statement of Kunlun said on Monday evening.

It has been reported that Grindr, with its headquarters based in Los Angeles, the U.S., has a total of 10.5 million registered users in 196 countries worldwide, and 2 million active users daily.

Kunlun said the move will help promote mobility of customers across the company's different service platforms including games, software distribution, internet finance and social networks, and create a closed business loop.

Stock price of the Shenzhen-listed Beijing Kunlun Tech Co Ltd jumped 10% on Tuesday following the announcement of the deal.
