Chinese President Xi Jinping on Nov.15 attended the tenth summit of the Group of Twenty (G20) themed, "collective action for inclusive and robust growth." Earlier, Xi attended a meeting of the leaders of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) countries, and delivered a speech calling for more collaboration on common development.

In the afternoon, Xi delivered a speech and proposed to strengthen coordination on macroeconomic policy, innovation-driven development and an open world economy for boosting global growth.

The international situation is changing and the global economy is experiencing profound adjustments and a slow recovery.

As the "engine" to drive global economic growth and an important participant in global economic governance, Beijing introduced the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020), highlighting development ideas of innovation, coordination, green development, opening-up and sharing.

China called for the transition of G20 from a mechanism of addressing risks to long-term economic governance, the construction of an open global economy, anti-protectionism, adoption of responsible macroeconomic policy to guide development of the G20 for greater economic balance, inclusiveness and sustainable development.
