    Inspired by popular online drama, tourists flood Changbai Mountain (4)

    The Changbai Mountain becomes a hot scenic spots this summer because of the popular novel named Daomu Biji, or Grave Robbery Note.

    Written by Xu Lei, it was first serialized online at Qidian China, a Chinese website for publishing, writing and reading novels. Written over a span of five years and published as nine separate novels, it is one of the most popular novel series in China from 2007 with several million fans. In 2014, it remade as a drama for internet.

    In the story, two characters promised to meet each other 10 years later in Changbai Mountainon, on Aug. 17, 2015. Thousands of fans of the novel headed to the Changbai Mountain on this day.

    According to report, the number of tourists visiting the Changbai Mountain has increased 50 percent this summer, of which 70 percent are post 90s novel fans.
