On the morning of June 8, 2015, the "Harmonious Overseas Chinese Community Forum" of the 8th Conference of the World Yunnan Community Federation was held in Pu'er Theatre. 36 leaders of overseas Chinese communities from 15 countries and regions attended the Forum and openly exchanged their opinions on the building of harmonious overseas Chinese communities, and shared their own experience and feelings in terms of the construction of overseas Chinese communities.

Also present at the Forum were Qiu Yuanping, Director of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council; Wang Xiaoping, Head of Department of Foreign Affairs, Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council; Zhang Xinming, Party Leadership Group Secretary under the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province; Yang Yanping, Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province; Yang Guangmin, Deputy Director of the Committee for Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs under the CPPCC Yunnan Provincial Committee; Yang Zhaohui, Deputy Secretary of the CPC committee and Acting Mayor of Pu'er City, and Pu'er's Deputy Mayor Yang Lin.

Qiu Yuanping listened to the speeches of leaders of overseas Chinese communities and delivered a speech at the Forum.
