In order to comprehensively implement the important instructions of Secretary of the Party Committee of Yunnan Province Li Jiheng's speeches on poverty alleviation and development, Pu'er held an meeting among the members of the Standing Committee of the city's Party Committee, specially studying the agenda of the construction of rural housing projects in destitute ethnic frontier regions.

The meeting stressed that departments at all levels should take poverty alleviation and development as a top priority, further enhance their political awareness, overall consciousness and sense of responsibility, strictly and honestly conduct the rural housing projects, and use the achievements of these projects to verify their gains on "Three Stricts and Three Earnests" (being strict in self-development, being strict in the exercise of power, being strict in self-discipline, being earnest in making plans, being earnest in opening up new undertakings and being earnest in upholding personal integrity) and the special education on "loyalty, cleanness and responsibility".

The meeting required that systemic thinking and overall planning shall be used to fully implement the rural housing projects, ensuring that every task is completed thoroughly, meticulously and effectively, thus bringing people a real sense of benefitting.
