Recently, Xi'an Hi-tech Zone biomedical park obtained the title of the "most promising biomedical park" in China in 2014.

The election of 2014 Best Chinese biomedical Park was officially launched in September 2014. The event is organized by BioInsight, a well-known biomedical institution, with aim to recommend the best Chinese biomedical parks worldwide.

This is the second time for China to conduct such a selection. A comprehensive evaluation will be given according to competitiveness, the services offered, the investment environment and the innovation policy of the parks.

The biopharmaceutical industry is one of the four leading industries in the Xi'an High-tech Zone. It is funded mainly by the administration of the Xi'an High-tech Zone. The construction of a 5 square kilometer biomedical park has already begun. The development of the park is based on the principles of innovation, cooperation and market orientation. The development priorities of biomedical park should be on chemicals, modern medicines, medical devices and biomedical maintenance.
