    At least 21 died, 47 missing as vessel sink off Myanmar's Kyaukphyu

    YANGON, March 14 -- At least 21 people were killed and 47 others missing as a double-decker vessel sank in Kyaukphyu, a major town in Myanmar's western Rakhine State, on Friday night, official sources said on Saturday.

    Of all on board, 167 passengers have been rescued so far, the sources said.

    Aung Dakun ship carrying about 214 passengers capsized when heading from Kyaukphyu harbor to Sittway of Rakhine State.

    The rescue works have been underway by the regional authorities.
