Nestle has recently announced in Pu'er, Yunnan Province that 38 university students from Yunnan have won the "Nestle Scholarship" (2014-2015), with RMB5,000 for each.

According to an executive with Nestle, Nestle has run a scholarship program in Yunnan since 2014, which targets students at universities, junior colleges and higher vocational schools with a maximum support period of four years. The program aims to encourage students to receive high-level professional education and reward local farmers for their contributions to the development of the coffee industry.

In early 2013, Nestle's Pu'er coffee purchasing station was certified by 4C. Subsequently, Nestle gave free training for coffee growers, and set up the "4C Incentive Fund for Shared Value" to help coffee growers grow quality coffee in accordance with the sustainability requirements of 4C. So far, Nestle's over 2,600 partners have obtained certification from 4C, benefiting 36,000 coffee growers and covering a total planting area of nearly 200,000 mu.

According to the source, all coffee beans purchased by Nestle in Yunnan will be certified by 4C from the current purchase season to boost the sustainable development of coffee in Pu'er.
