BEIJING, Dec. 25  -- Two senior officials of two Communist Party of China (CPC) provincial committees have been removed from office following disciplinary probes, CPC authorities announced Thursday.

Wang Min was a former standing committee member of the CPC provincial committee of Shandong. Han Xuejian held a similar position in Heilongjiang Province.

"The two are suspected of severe disciplinary and law violations and have been removed from their posts according to decisions made by the CPC Central Committee," said a statement released by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.

The announcement came after the investigations into two separate cases involving them by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
