Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is the burial site of Yellow Emperor, the legendary ancestor of the Chinese people. It is also the holy place for Chinese people across the world. The mausoleum covers an area of 3.24 square kilometers. In the Qiaoshan Mountain where it is located, there are more than 86,000 ancient cypress trees. The ancient cypress trees in Qiaoshan Mountain were called the largest of its kind in the world. The one planted by Yellow Emperor himself is called “the father of cypress”, and the ones by Emperor Wu of Han are called the “odd cypress of China”.
