Yamdrok Lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, is one of the largest three sacred lakes in Tibet. The 72 km long lake is considered sacred by Tibetan people who make pilgrimages there. It is said that if its waters dry, Tibet will no longer be habitable. [Photo by Liu Qiang / China.org.cn]
