    China's Wang wins women's hammer throw at IAAF World Challenge Beijing

    BEIJING, May 21 -- China's Wang Zheng clinched the title of the women's hammer throw at the 2014 IAAF World Challenge Beijing Meet on Wednesday.

    The 26-year-old Wang set a new meet record with a throw of 75.23 meters, yet still more than two meters shy of her personal best _ 77.68.

    Wang won the event in the Asian Championships and placed fourth in the World Championships in 2013.

    Slovakian Martina Hrasnova (71.89m) and Amber Jane Campbell (70.03m) of the United States grabbed the silver and bronze medal respectively.

    Another Chinese athlete Luo Na ranked fourth at 69.81m.
