China's top economic planner has raised the retail gas and diesel prices for the third time this year.

The National Development and Reform Commission has announced that starting May 26th this year, gas prices will be increased by around 0.16 yuan per liter, while those for diesel will go up 0.17 yuan per liter.

Those moves will translate to around 8 yuan (1.22 U.S. dollars) extra for drivers who want to fill up their 50-liter gas tanks.
