BEIJING, April 17 -- Leng Rongquan, former vice general manager of China Telecom, is being investigated for graft, according to the discipline inspection department of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

Leng has not held the post of vice general manager of China Telecom since 2009. He is the latest senior executive of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) taken down by the country's anti-graft campaign.

The CCDI sent inspection teams into 26 centrally-administered SOEs, including China Telecom, in March.

China Telecom is a leading telecom service provider in China.
