    China stocks close higher Friday

    BEIJING, Jan. 16 -- Chinese shares closed higher Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ending at 3,376.49 points, up 1.20 percent.

    The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 11,532.80 points, up 0.43percent.
