BEIJING, June 26  -- China will strengthen the management of all kinds of charges and fees imposed on companies.

China's cabinet the State Council said in a circular streamlining administration and delegation of power to the lower levels would stimulate companies, especially small ones.

The government will invite public supervision through a list of charges and fees.

"Local authorities must use the list to ensure that no charges outside the list are imposed," the circular showed.

The varieties of charges will be gradually reduced and a mechanism for supporting small businesses by temporary fee exemptions will come into force.
